Why I built this, and who it is for
A five minute talk, a brain on a foggy day, and one AI conversation that changed how I think about all of this.
A few weeks ago my manager asked me to present at our company offsite. Nothing too big. Five minutes, internal audience, just a quick look at what a product manager actually does day to day.
Two problems. It was last minute. And my brain lately has not always been there when I need it.
I knew what I wanted to say. But getting it out of my head and into something structured felt hard that day. So I opened Claude, an AI tool, typed out my thoughts as they came, and asked for help pulling it together.
What came back stopped me in my tracks. Being a product manager is like running an airport. Every piece of work is a plane waiting to land. There is only one runway: your team's time and energy. Every yes is also a no. Something else has to wait. My job is figuring out and prioritizing which planes land first.
I would not have landed on that myself. Not that day, not with that brain. Driving home, I kept thinking: more women need to know about this.
